Yesterday, July 4th, Fiat announced their Fiat 500 is coming back nearly 50 years after it was first introduced. At 46mpg and a top speed of 99mph, it seems like the perfect car. Now we just have to wait for it to arrive in America — which is expected “in the next few years“.
I love these little cars! Saw them all over Italy and always wanted to drive one.
The new Fiat would not be called ‘chink-way-chen-toe’ if it was launched in USA, it would be called ‘five-hund-red’. The official name is ‘ Fiat 500′ and each country will say ‘500′ in it’s own language. In Italy, that’s cinque cento……and by the way, the car is a stunner, as you would expect of from a great Italian stylist!
